death note II...
just came home from the movie Death Note II... it was great, the characters acted very well, everything seems almost perfect... only problem is that i stayed in the same sitting position for too long, and almost got "economy class syndrome" (经济舱综合症)... i can't help but complain that the movie is too long... haha...
finally admitted to ronny that i can't put myself into reading the comic of Death Note... reason being it is too wordy... he still insist that i should read the comic to get the whole picture of what is happening, or rather what really happened (in the story)... i think the movie changed too many things... anyway, i'll try my best, buddy...
it's already past midnight when the movie ended... we walked a long distance to take the night rider home... on the way to the bus-stop, we discuss the movie, crack some jokes, take some pictures, visit “酒池肉林” (what is this? i'm not telling you)... so on and so forth... i think everyone had fun...
a post christmas celebration, i would say...
earthquake in taiwan...
today is the module registration date for the new semester... but due to the earthquake last night... all internet access are affected... nearly failed to register for my modules... the portal is down since last night, luckily i found the exact website and saved the trouble of having to go through the portal... god bless me...
a night at the museum...
went out with siew yong, soon cheong, kang woei and kenny last night (christmas eve)... finally an outing since long long ago... can't help it, kenny just started his university life, siew yong and kang woei's 生命暂时是国家的, soon cheong just had an operation, and I'm busy with my school work... there's always someone who can't make it for an outing... very difficult to get everyone together... finally, last night we did...
we watch A Night At The Museum at The Cathay... the show is good, very funny, makes us laugh and laugh until i feel pain in my chest... nearly laughed my lungs out... wonder how would it be like if everything in my house is to come alive at night... maybe frightened to death??? haha...
more and more people are telling me that they heard J.K is going to kill Harry in the last book... but why??? why would she kill him??? just to make the story more exciting and unexpected??? i dunno... anyway, i'm still determined to believe that she is not going to, until proved otherwise...
santa claus is coming to town!!!
christmas is around the corner, but i don't think i have the time to celebrate... going Far East Plaza for christmas kettling tomorrow... wouldn't be able to do my christmas shopping again... have been busy with GESL the whole week... finally got to have a good sleep, but still feel tired after waking up... sianz...
got my best christmas present today!!! that's my results for the past semester... 2 A, 2 A-, 1 B... and a GPA of 4.24... hohoho... this proves that santa claus is already in town... and brought me my best present... haha...
another piece of good news... received an email from joseph today... the new and last Harry Potter book is releasing soon!!! yeah!!! have been longing for it since i finished the last book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince... but the bad news is, there are rumors spreading around that J.K is going to finish Harry in this last book of the series... (J.K: "We are dealing with pure evil here. They don't target extras, do they? They go for the main characters - well, I do.") NO WAY!!! she can't do this to me!!! she'd already killed Sirius and Dumbledore, my two favorite characters in the Harry Potter series, she can't kill Harry!!! please don't...
saw another piece of news in Today... the Harry Potter series is banned in i-forgot-where... the reason being "promoting witchcraft among children"... come on, it's just a fantasy that every kids can't miss... anyway... "every burned book enlightens the world..." Ralph Waldo Emerson
i carry your heart with me... by ee cummings
a part of a poem to share...
here is the deepest secret nobody knows,
here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;
which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide,
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart,
i carry your heart (i carry it in my heart)...
eragon...
just watched the movie Eragon... good animation and story line... but heard my brother keeps complaining that the movie changed at least 95% of the original story... i don't think that's a problem, as long as the movie is good... i've not read the book... why? because my brother lend it to his girlfriend without asking me!!! "better seek forgiveness than permission..." haha...
my dear friend, if you happen to see my blog... the sounds-so-funny line you mentioned in your blog entry should be "to win or die"... and not "to live or to die"... doesn't sound funny to me though...
tomorrow is the last day of my GESL Project... finally!!! really tired... need to take a good rest after the whole thing is over... maybe sleep for at least 24 hours before waking up... hee...
one art... by elizabeth bishop
recently watched the DVD of the movie "In Her Shoes"... there in the movie were a few touching poems... and this is one of them... One Art, by Elizabeth Bishop...
The art of losing isn't hard to master; so many things seem filled with the intent to be lost that their loss is no disaster.
Lose something every day. Accept the fluster of lost door keys, the hour badly spent. The art of losing isn't hard to master.
Then practice losing farther, losing faster: places, and names, and where it was you meant to travel. None of these will bring disaster.
I lost my mother's watch. And look! My last, or next-to-last, of three loved houses went. The art of losing isn't hard to master.
I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster, some realms I owned, two rivers, a continent. I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.
Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident the art of losing's not too hard to master though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.
my very own website...
my website is finally near completion... what's left is the website management... have rented the web space for a year, hope that they will send me photos consistently... or else it will be a total waste of effort, time and money...
feel so proud of myself to have created this website, i like it very much myself... really hope the others felt the same way... what is the website about? well... it's named “中新一家亲”... the “中”means "china" and the “新”means "singapore"...think it for yourself what it means... haha...
it is now 2.27a.m. and i'm still awake. i've been sleeping real late this few days... it's bad for health i know, but just can't help it... there are so many GESL things that i have to prepare myself... wonder why...
life is bored...
hai... i felt like a pig... slept the whole day today... was intending to do many things, but didn't manage any... sianz...
counting down to the final showdown of Death Note 2: The Last Name... 13 more days to go... i have started to wonder, was i looking forward to going out with my friends or the movie? i have not gone out with any friends for a long time since the last outing... everyday is school/ work/ project/ rest/ school/ work/ project/ rest... even though it is now the school holiday, i still have project... why is life so boring???
